The Duncan-Franklin wedding reception was harmonious blend of classic meets contemporary: beautifully crafted in all white fabrics, furnishings and floral. The entry and main room were styled in traditional linens including accents of taffeta pintuck, matte satin and satin stripe. The cigar bar tent and petite lounge (within the restaurant) reflected a current trend: spandex linens with specialty lighting elements. The opaque plexiglass cubes started out shiny opaque white, but silently transformed into softly glowing coffee tables.

Upon arrival, guests were greeted with glasses of champagne and stunning displays of dendrobium orchids in the entry way and single flower bouquets throughout. Providing a unique focal point for the main room, the floral "waterfall" and cake display stole the show. Orchids and crystals virtually cascaded from the ceiling, providing an ethereal backdrop for the cake. The five-tier fondant cake was decorated with tiny iridescent fondant pearls, white satin ribbon and more white orchids. Overhead pinspotting made the crystals sparkle and the cake glow. The guests were treated to a lavish cocktail reception including a menu of pate', crab claws, jumbo shrimp and beef tenderloin. The band, Skyrocket of Austin, kept the guests on their feet dancing the night away.

A big thank you to Mrs. Duncan and the new Mrs. Franklin for your creative collaboration and vision.
